Synopsis of Saturday Morning Show

"No Guts, No Galaxy!"

From the best-selling role playing game and computer game series, Battletech featured a world where wars were fought by soldiers in enormous battle suits called mechs. Human pilots Major Adam Steiner, Lieutenant Rachel Specter, Captain Miles Hawkins, and Captain Valten Ryder battled the evil Malthus and others. Following the lead of Japanese anime (which served as Battletech's obvious inspiration), the half-hour episodes followed an ongoing storyline.

When the mechs went into combat, the action shifted to "Enhanced Battlemode,” featuring elaborate computer-generated animation. Unfortunately, the show failed to capture the huge fan following of the game simulations, ending its run after one season.
