Synopsis of Saturday Morning Show
This series brought to life the famous world of children's author Richard Scarry. Beloved "Busytown" residents, such as Huckle Cat, Lowly Worm, Mr. Fixit, Hilda Hippo, Sgt. Murphy, and Bananas Gorilla, were now walking and talking with the same lively humor that had defined them in Scarry's books.
Scarry, who died in 1994, was one of the most popular children's authors of all time, with books that have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide, and are translated into 30 different languages.
The Busy World of Richard Scarry aired on Showtime from 1994-95, and has been rerun on Nickelodeon since then.
