Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos

Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos

Synopsis of Saturday Morning Show

“Chuck Norris! He’s got nerves of steel and strength to match!”

Before Walker, Texas Ranger, martial artist Chuck Norris had another team of karate-chopping do-gooders. Like Mister T and Hulk Hogan before him, Norris made the leap from live-action superhero to cartoon mega-superhero.

Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos appeared in a five-part miniseries in 1986. Norris served as a special agent to the President, defending the country (and by extension, the world) from evil megalomaniac The Claw and his organization Vulture. Added martial arts danger came in the form of the Super Ninja, a masked man with a swift foot. The Kommandos themselves were a special unit of crack fighters—samurai Kimo, ninja Reed, sumo Tabe, and beautiful young female Pepper. The comic sidekick of the group was Too-Much, a pint-sized wisecracker. The show revolved around the extensive fight scenes, but Norris ended each episode with a live-action segment explaining what lesson young wannabe karatekas should have learned.
