Banana clips
Fashion Synopsis
The only way to tame hair in the 80’s was with the giant plastic curve known as…the banana clip. This simple plastic hair accessory was an absolute must for anyone with hair long enough to be clipped up in a variation of the ponytail.
The banana-shaped curve was separated with a hinge so that each side’s long teeth could comb the hair into a vertical mane. Even the most flat and dull hair looked luxurious and full in this invention! The best part was that it worked great with the big, high hair bangs, another 80’s must.
