

The 50’s passion for poodles was seen in poodle skirts, poodle pins, and poodle-style perms. A tightly curled hairstyle cut close to the head, with poofy sides and bangs, this cut looked suspiciously like groomed poodle fur.
Everybody loved Lucy, and when Lucille Ball adopted the tightly-curled poodle cut, ladies across the nation followed suit. When the poodle cut was combined with cat-eye glasses and a mousy personality, the bookworm emerged.
