Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse cartoons hit new heights, Mickey Rooney launches into the spotlight in the popular Andy Hardy film series. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, the first fully animated feature, makes history in 1937, while over at Universal, Frankenstein, Dracula and The Invisible Man make nightmares. America follows the “Yellow Brick Road” with Dorothy and Toto as The Wizard of Oz is released in 1939.
