Secret Wars

Synopsis of Lunch Box
Here’s a tip from Skooldays to you: If you end up running a comic book company, when all else fails, put a bunch of superheroes and supervillains together and make them fight for an issue or twelve. Bingo—money in the bank. Marvel Comics brought its highest-voltage stars to the yearlong Secret Wars mini-series starting in 1984, and the fruits spilled over into toys, sticker sets, and this lunchbox with matching plastic thermos. Spider-Man and Captain America were the biggest stars in this painted metal show, posing with Iron Man on one side and battling Doctors Doom and Octopus on the other. A second Secret Wars limited series started up shortly thereafter, but sorry, no Beyonder-nearly-destroys-the-universe lunchbox.
