Apache hairstyle

Fashion Synopsis

Leave it to the 50's to take hairstyles to the extreme. This wacky hairstyle made a landing strip of your head, and proved that the buzz cut didn't have to be dull.

Cowboys and Indians took a realistic turn when boys shaved their heads after the Apache tribe hairstyle. A reversed Mohawk, the Apache featured close-cropped sides and a shaved center part.

The Apache was a short-lived hair fad for boys during the summer months, when buzz cuts were the common curse. Before boys cared about what girls would think (because they still had cooties), they didn't mind making a mockery of their hair.
