Here Come the Double Deckers
Synopsis of Saturday Morning Show
"Get on board! Get on board!
Come and join the Double Deckers."
In this live-action import from England, the Double Deckers were a group of seven mischievous kids that would meet in an old doubledecker bus they had converted into a clubhouse.
Scooper was the apparent leader of the gang, and Albert, the street sweeper was the only regular adult in the cast. The other kids included Spring, Sticks, Doughnut, Brains, Billie, and Tiger, who had a stuffed tiger named Tiger.
A hit in its homeland, Here Come the Double Deckers never really caught on with American audiences and was cancelled after one season. After another season of Sunday morning repeats, the show left the colonial airwaves permanently.
