These wacky world walkers were astronaut-style platform boots. Moon boots were functional, all-weather boots with rubber bottoms and waterproof nylon tops that were an absolute must for any kid growing up in the 70’s.

Even if you lived in Florida, where it never snows, you needed these clunky space-age atrocities to look cool. Think of a quilted parka for your feet, but in fashionable colors.
