
The art of disguise is essential to survival in the dog-eat-dog world of grade school lunchrooms. What could be more devious than hiding your much-coveted noontime meal in a plain loaf of bread? In 1968, Aladdin produced this metal dome lunchbox with matching steel thermos for Campbell’s Soup. Taking full advantage of the dome shape, the design of this box, was, much like some of the pop art of the 1960’s, made to look exactly like an everyday, household object. In this case, a full loaf of freshly sliced wheat bread.
