Synopsis of Lunch Box

Originally premiering on Mexican television in 1973, El Chavo starred Roberto Gomez (a middle-aged comic actor) as an eight year old child. El Chavo, which translates to "The Kid," has been in syndication on Spanish speaking television in America ever since its cancellation. For Americans who don't speak Spanish, the show might have been a baffling example of the mysteries of humor in other countries, as a grown man paraded around in children's clothing acting in a sub-normal manner. Yes, we know. It sounds a lot like Angus from AC/DC. In 1979, Aladdin made this metal lunchbox with matching plastic thermos, presumably for Mexican and Mexican-American audiences.
