Synopsis Nothing said chic like a colored chiffon square tied smartly around a high-crown ponytail. Bobby soxers draped scarves across their ponytails for a flash of color when cutting a rug (or a gym floor, as the case may be).

Girls who wanted long hair (instead of the short poodle cut, or Italian style) kept it neatly tamed by a high ponytail with straight cut bangs, or all of it pulled back off the forehead.
