Hair scarves

Hair scarves

Fashion Synopsis

Nothing said chic like a colored chiffon square tied smartly around a high-crown ponytail. Bobby soxers draped scarves across their ponytails for a flash of color when cutting a rug (or a gym floor, as the case may be).

Girls who wanted long hair (instead of the short poodle cut, or Italian style) kept it neatly tamed by a high ponytail with straight cut bangs, or all of it pulled back off the forehead. This kept the hair safely out of the way of your partner’s hands when he was twirling you on the dance floor. The hair scarf was a necessary accessory for the swell stylings of poodle skirt, bobby socks and saddle shoes, adding a bit of extra color to your ensemble.
