Yogi Bear Lunch Box
Synopsis of Lunch Box
Why steal a pic-a-nic basket when you've got a lunchbox and matching steel thermos of your own? (Answer: Because it's your nature) 1961's Yogi Bear and Friends lunchbox may not have cured the title bear's appetite for basket theft, but it helped curb the hunger of many a young Yogi fan. The "and Friends" portion included everyone from lady love Cindy Bear to Yogi's cartoon co-stars Huckleberry Hound, Pixie & Dixie, Augie Dog and Doggy Daddy, and Quick Draw McGraw. It was a cornucopia of Hanna-Barbera stars, but Yogi continued to outshine them all for years to come.
The bear re-appeared in lunchbox form in 1974, this time with a blackboard memo pad and a matching plastic thermos. And of course, that irrepressible lunch burglar was up to his old tricks, ready to fire a basket-retrieving plunger arrow. Oh, Yogi...when will you ever learn? (Answer: never)
