UFO Lunch Box
Synopsis of Lunch Box
Gerry and Sylvia Anderson, king and queen of "Supermarionation" puppetry, went with living, breathing actors for their 1970 show UFO. The British series came stateside in 1972, and with it came this lunchbox with matching plastic thermos (though some unlucky boxes had generic thermoses). SHADO head honcho Ed Straker did his UFO-monitoring duty on one side, while a SKY Interceptor rocketed to the moon’s defense on the other.
