The Flying Nun

The Flying Nun

Synopsis of Lunch Box

Sally Field ruled the 1960's. She was a fresh-faced youthful relief from what was a politically and socially charged atmosphere. She first appeared in the television run of the popular Gidget series of films. A few years later, in 1967, she starred in The Flying Nun; a television series about a nun who, um, flies. Moving on.

Aladdin made the Flying Nun metal lunch box with matching steel thermos in 1968. The front and back panels have hilarious illustrations of Field flying around wearing her exaggerated habit headdress. The front panel is pretty close to a scene from the opening of the show.
