Synopsis of Lunch Box
Premiering in 1972, Emergency had just the right mix of comedy and drama to capture the public's imagination. A Saturday morning version, Emergency + Four, premiered in 1973, the same year that Aladdin produced this metal lunchbox with matching plastic thermos. Though there was much in the way of goofy comedy on the show, the box only depicted the dramatic aspects of being a fireman. Both sides involved saving children from dangerous, even deadly, situations. A meal and illustrated cautionary tales—all in the same package.
