Flip brim hats
Fashion Synopsis
Before the days when the baseball cap became the crowning glory of headwear, soft cotton hats in the style of painter’s caps were the topper of choice.
Among the younger set, the only way to wear the hat was to flip the brim up in saucy defiance of normalcy. Whether worn straight or twisted to the side, the brim had to be up. Why? As with most fads, the only reason you needed was that it looked cool… way cool. 'Nuff said.
