From 1973 to 1975, The Addams Family, already a popular live-action show and New Yorker comic strip, was animated for Saturday morning television. In 1974, King Seely licensed the cartoon for this metal box with matching thermos. The Addams Family has always boasted a strong cult following, and this box is highly prized to collectors, largely in part to the fact that Lurch is depicted as "hangin' ten" on a floating tombstone in the wacky illustration.
